I’m in Minnesota visiting the family, and today we went to the Como Zoo, which is a really lovely zoo and park in St. Paul. I love it because you can get pretty close to the animals, and it’s also small enough to be manageable – which is really nice when you’re with a family member in a wheelchair.

Who knew that there was so much to say about flour… or that it would be so interesting? Today we visited the Mill City Museum in downtown Minneapolis, which a museum about the flour milling industry in Minnesota. The really cool thing is that the museum is actually built within the ruins of a National Historic Landmark, the Washburn Mill, and part of the tour takes place in a giant eight-story freight elevator.
